About Us

Teresa and Darren Griffith

This is the farm Teresa grew up on! Her grandfather bought the land, already cleared for farming but with a strip of bush along the north edge. Her father took over, married her mother and raised her along with 2 sisters on this very farm. They raised cows, sheep, chickens and grew crops on the land. Over the years, Teresa has lived in several parts of Canada, and she was overjoyed to return to the farm and became inspired to create a care farm. She is patient, kind, and wise.

Darren grew up in Camrose, often playing in nearby farmers’ fields as a kid. He then lived in Edmonton, Cochrane, Beijing, and with Teresa in High Level, AB. He has really taken to the farm life and is quite handy at fixing things. He has a techy side but is also willing to get his hands dirty and do what needs to be done! He is very kind and caring towards all the animals and people in his life.

Where the name came from

Teresa’s dad used to call the farm the P and T Ranch, where P and T stood for “partitions and twine” because he was often rigging something, MacGyver-style. Teresa decided to keep the name, and although she still rigs things quite a bit, P and T now also means “peace and tranquility.”

The P and T Ranch logo shows two alpacas on a grassy lawn with farm buildings in the background. Below it says peace and tranquility.
